What do you need for this class?

Textbook:You will need a textbook, everything else is provided. I have some textbooks you are welcome to borrow, otherwise I can help you to order the book from Amazon. I would recommend California Science by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill and I will supply the rest of reading material. You don’t need any lab or workbooks. You will get worksheets, print out, homework pages etc. I can also email you this book in pdf format.

Before you order, check with me, I
may have a book for you.

What do you do at this class?

Homework and tests:Expect about 2h of homework per week (mostly reading, finishing class reports
for your CT and making vocabulary cards). We will have a test after each major unit of study.
5th graders have State science test at the end of the year. Students will be able to use IXL science on your computer to practice before 5th grade test. Practice test will be available online from Vision’s as well (very small part of it). Please only do what is assigned to you and only on your day.

What do you need to bring?

What to bring to class: 1.5 inch folder with 8 dividers: method, biology, space, water, weather, chemistry, physics, engeneering; homework folder (paper or plastic 2 pockets folder), Pen or pencil for writing,
#2 good pencil for scientific drawing (gray), eraser, iiired pen, highlighter, water bottle, snack
(we will have 10 min break).

What to expect?

- Intense 2h class with 10 min. break (1,5h for 4th graders), test after each Unit.
- Curriculum exceeds grade standards.
- Hands on learning: 5-10 experiments per class
- Field trips are open for family members.
- Printed handouts for every class, textbook provided (some grades)
- Photographs taken during each to supplement homework.

First Day of Classes: Tuesday, September 2, 2019 Orientation: A Parent/Student Orientation will be hosted at my house in August prior to classes beginning. I am a vendor for Vision’s in education.

Payment: cash, checks, Vision’s funds. Please order vouchers carefully, Vision’s don’t refund. Payment due before classes start, make sure you order vouchers in advance, it takes 5-7 days before I can see them at my portal. You can pay monthly ($160), fall semester ($640), spring semester ($800). What do you need for this class: you will need a textbook, everything else is provided.
